This great postcard of the beautiful town of Berat in Albania comes from Nevila. The great thing is that Nevila is also a tourist guide and as a result knows a lot about the area. She says that the town is over 2400 years old and the old part of the town was declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 2009. An estimated 71 000 people call the town home, which is also the capital of Berat County and the District of Berat. Nevila says that as she’s a tourist guide, she’d love to show the town to me someday. I’d really appreciate that, as the country is situated perfectly within a world region that I’d love to travel from pillar to post. Thank you so much Nevila!
