This beautiful postcard showing all the beauty that is Turkey comes from Beliz. It really looks pretty darn amazing there. Unfortunately neither Beliz nor the postcard gave me any indication as to what these places are called, so I cannot act all informative and what not. Would any of you smart people who might know these places give me some idea as to what’s going on on this postcard? I’d appreciate it. Thank you in advance!
My third postcard of the Blue Mosque also comes from Ashor. While not being particularly fond of domes and all that, there is something very intriguing about this particular mosque. I believe it is truly something to behold! It was built under the rule of Sultan Ahmed I, completed in 1616 and took 7 years to build. It is still in use today but is also a very popular tourist attraction.
While the picture hardly does this metallic postcard justice, it must be said that this is my favourite postcard. The pressed-for-time Faik merely wrote Türkiye-den Selamlar on the back, which I take to mean “greetings from Turkey” but I could be completely off the mark. Short and simple. But at any rate, this is my favourite postcard!
I received these 4 awesome postcards from Baris. He lives in Istanbul, Turkey. These have definitely been among my favourite postcards, since I received them.
