This heart-shaped postcard comes to me all the way from Roy in the Kingdom of Norway. Norway is a country on the Scandinavian Peninsula, which spans 385 186 square kilometers and is home to approximately 5.1 million people. Norway was first unified in 872 under their first king, Harald Fairhair. Over the past 1141 years, the country has obviously grown into something very different from its days as an absolute monarchy under Harald Fairhair. Today Norway enjoys the second highest GDP per capita of any country in the world. In monetary value, Norway, today is considered the second wealthiest country in the world in terms of monetary value, with the largest per capita foreign reserves of any country. The Norway of today is also considered the most stable country in the world with the best functioning government. That is quite a feat. Thank you Roy for a lovely postcard.
